Tasting Notes: Produced from 100% estate grown fruit, the Kimbarra 2009. Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a rich blackcurrant and cedar spice nose which follows through to the palate with good varietal intensity. Mid palate richness and chewy tannins have been derived from 18 months in French oak. Drinking well now, however, will gain complexity with cellaring for up to 6 years.

Tasting Notes: A lighter style than usual without being green or displaying vegetable characteristics. The tannins have been fined to a minimum to achieve an optimum balance, hints of black olives.

Food match: An ideal match for veal, pork or poultry; even in lighter pasta dishes with creamy sauces. A good red wine for the garden with sundowner nibbles, thinly sliced rare fillet steak on fresh olive oil drizzled focattia topped with semi dried tomatoes.
